In addition, we are well-versed in customizing services to fit the special needs of our clients. While working alongside LRS, you will receive solutions that go beyond your initial vision.

Although there will be some changes, the community of Vilonia will be directed to the LRS website for assistance and can expect to see our blue service vehicles around town. We consider it our ongoing goal to continue to offer excellent services that surpass your previous good experiences.

Waste Collection

Waste collection will continue on a weekly basis. Schaumburg and LRS will continue to allow residents to use additional personal receptacles in addition to their LRS cart.

In addition to curbside waste collection, LRS offers a variety of other waste services.

Bulk Items / Excess Garbage

LRS will take 2 cubic yards of additional waste that is not able to fit into your cart as long as it is within Illinois landfill regulations and it is safe to handle by the driver(s). Up to 2 bulk items will be collected as long as each item is under 50 pounds and under 2 cubic yards.

For items that do not fit the above criteria, LRS will provide service as needed, scheduled at an agreed upon per-yard basis. This service will be upon request, and billed separately.

White Goods

Upon request, LRS will provide collection of major appliances, including but not limited to ovens and refrigerators.

Residents simply need to call LRS and speak to a representative who will set up a date to collect the item, and provide a quote for removal. This will be billed separately.

Christmas Trees

LRS will provide curbside collection of Christmas trees for the month of January at no charge. Only live trees (not in bags) free of any tinsel, lights or ornaments will be accepted.

How do I clean my cart?

Fill the cart with hot water and a capful of vinegar or grease-cutting dish soap. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and rinse. Once the cart has been thoroughly rinsed, set the cart out with the lid open in the sun to dry.

What if I need my cart replaced?

Carts that are broken due to damage incurred during the collection are reported by the driver for replacement at no charge. Residents are encouraged to contact LRS if they notice damage to the cart during the collection process to request a replacement cart.

If damage occurs to the cart due to other reasons, please contact LRS to request a replacement cart. An exchange fee will be applied and billed to the resident if requesting a new cart due to damage not incurred during the collection process or odors.

Is this considered garbage?

Latex paint

Latex paint is considered regular garbage, but it must be completely dried, with the lid off so the driver is able to see inside the can. Dry latex paint by leaving lid off or open and/or mix kitty litter until the paint is completely absorbed. Do not place out for collection until the paint is completely dry.

Alkaline batteries

Alkaline batteries are considered regular garbage and should be thrown into the garbage. It is always recommended that tape be used on each end of the battery and placed into a plastic sandwich bag when disposing of them.

How do I report a missed pickup?

If your waste, recycling, or yard waste services are not collected on the service day by 6 pm, please contact LRS by either calling 479-878-1384.

You can also reach out by submitting a support request in the top right-hand section of this page.

Please contact customer service if you need repairs to your cart.

Yard Waste/Organics

LRS will provide seasonal yard waste collection from the first full week in April through the second full week in December. Residents may use and place out their own 35-gallon or smaller cans with yard waste, or brown kraft bags free of charge. User-owned cans should be clearly marked as “YW,” and may not weigh more than 50lbs (this weight limit also applies to kraft paper bags). The bundle size is restricted to 4’ in length, 2’ diameter, and no heavier than 50 pounds. Branches cannot exceed 3” in diameter.

As part of the Village’s new contract with LRS, residents may place organic material and food waste with the yard waste they set out for collection. Nearly 20% of all food waste ends up in landfills, so we encourage participation. Residents may also rent a yard waste/compost cart at a cost of $3, per month.

Please note that yard waste is excluded for multi-family dwellings.

Your yard waste service day will be on the same day as your waste and recycling.

For the past 10+ years, businesses, municipalities, cities, and states have benefitted from the comprehensive waste management services offered by the LRS team. These solutions include, but are not limited to, waste diversion services, scheduled pickups, and even recycling systems.

Built on the mission to contribute to a sustainable future, our LRS professionals make sure our waste management solutions are completed to help reduce the human carbon footprint. In addition, they work flexibly to meet the unique needs of each client we serve. Our LRS clients are promised a comprehensive experience that is both effective and convenient.

With these upcoming changes, the citizens of Danville can expect minimal changes to their waste management services. Notably, we will be using blue service vehicles as well as the LRS website. Our team is excited to serve this community!

Additional Cart(s)

Should you need an additional waste (or recycling) cart, LRS will provide one at a cost of $3 per month, per cart.

LRS will provide residents with one recycling cart at no cost that will be collected weekly on the same day as your waste. Residents may place out as many recyclable items as they wish each week for collection. Recyclable material that won’t fit in recycling carts may be placed at the side of the cart. Larger or bulky boxes must be broken down before collection.

Additional recycling carts may be rented at a cost of $3 per month, per cart.
